Narrative summary of datasetThe data set collected in 2017, contains temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen measured every 30 minutes, at different sites and depths in Limfjorden.
Summary of processing methodologyContinuous free-water measurements in two areas of Limfjorden, with different sediment composition, were performed in 2017 every 30 minutes. Stenet area was characterized by presence of stones, while Bart area was characterized by sand sediment. The measurements were collected in shallow and deep sites. At shallow sites the measurements were performed at 1 and 3 m depth and in deep sites at 1 and 5 m depth. Continuous measurements of dissolved oxygen and water temperature were made with miniDOT oxygen optode loggers (Precision Measurement Engineering, Vista, CA, USA, in the following termed “oxygen logger”)

Data quality processing informationThe data were corrected for salinity concentration, which quality assurance performed with parallel lab analyses. Dissolved oxygen was corrected for drift, according to monthly cleaning and calibrations of the equipment.
