The main objective of long-term observations conducted in the coastal zone from City of Batumi to Sarpi (the border with Turkey, Ajara region) was to reveal trends of sedimentation and erosion processes occurred to assess the dynamics of coastal line. Monitoring of the coastal line was initiated to prevent the possible damages to the infrastructure of urban agglomeration.
